DUBREUIVILLE TOURNAMENT SECTION

 2008 Tournament Recap Minimize

The Fathers Day event was another great event with more teams participating than ever before.  The consistent catchs of James Smedley and Peter Kusic enabled them to capture the event by more than a five pound margin.  The husband and wife team of Terry and Patty Bernath used a 12 pound day two to move up the field and take second.  Joel Bernard and Mathieu Ouellet would fall from first to third as they were unable to weigh a fish like the first days 9.96 lb hog.

FATHER’S DAY WALLEYE DERBY

Dubreuilville is the second event on the N.O.P.W.T. and is in it's fourth year on the trail. Last year some big fish were caught although conditions were considered tough during the Father's Day weekend.  The Magpie River reservoir boasts endless structure and has many places to fish.  Walleye populations on this lake are on the rise.  Tournament headquarters is in the community of Dubreuilville.  The organizing committee has added a new wrinkle to the event.  There is a $10,000 prize for the angler that brings in the first of three tagged fish.  They also have three registrations prizes with a total value of $5000.
